Want to learn how to effectively use games in your play therapy

sessions?  Join us for this working day of learning, exploring,

practicing and creating.  Participants will learn how to

therapeutically incorporate games with children, teens and

families in different phases of the counseling process. All

in an intimate setting with limited number of 10 participants!

Learning Objectives and Schedule:


  1. Identify 5 therapeutic benefits of integrating games into play therapy sessions.
  2. Implement strategies of utilizing games in various phases of treatment
  3. Explain how to select games for specific therapeutic goals and objectives.
  4. Demonstrate 3 ways to adapt commercial games to clinical goals of play therapy session.
  5. List 15 games that can be purposefully used in play therapy session.
  6. Describe therapeutic responses during game play with different play therapy sessions such as individuals, groups, and families.
  7. Create at least 2 custom therapeutic games to utilize in play therapy.
