About Lisa Remey

MEd, LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and National Certified Counselor.  I am also a ‘seasoned’ military spouse of 23 years and have helped my family cope with 7 deployments and 13 moves and understand first hand difficulties that occur in various stages of parenting.

It was in college that I had calling to be a children’s counselor and have continued along this career path since. My counseling experiences over a span of two decades have ranged from using play therapy as a social worker, school counselor, private practice, as well as creating a program for disaster counseling.

In addition, my daughter at age 8 & 9 wrote and illustrated two children’s books to help military kids cope with deployments and moving and I am honored to be a contributing author and publisher of Lion’s Pride: A Tail of Deployment, bronze medal winner from Military Writers Society of America, and Lion’s Pride On the Move.

I also enjoy developing and co-leading programs for military kids, presenting at conferences nationally and internationally and have had appearances on Army Wife Network Talk Radio & American Warrior Radio.
