Frequently Asked Questions

What is play therapy?
Play therapy is for children what counseling is for adults.  Play is children’s natural way of expression and play therapy helps children express their feeling and experiences more easily through toys instead of words. The goal is to help children learn to express themselves in healthier ways, become more respectful and empathetic, and discover new and more positive ways to solve problems while communicating through play.
What ages of children do you see?
I begin working individually with ages 2 through adolescence.
Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance.  However, I can provide paperwork that can aid you filing out of network with your insurance provider.  Many clients enjoy the freedom of private pay as no diagnosis is needed and treatment plan is determined by your current needs.
